Abigail Kovalcik, MSW, LSW
Abigail is a licensed social worker in both New Jersey and New York, specializing in supporting children, teens, young adults, and their families through a range of life transitions. She focuses on addressing challenges such as academic and occupational pressures, anxiety, depression, and trauma that can impact mental well-being. Abigail creates a warm, non-judgmental environment where clients feel safe and empowered to heal, grow, and develop effective coping skills to navigate these complexities.
Using a strengths-based and client-centered approach, Abigail meets clients where they are and works alongside them toward self-empowerment. She employs play and art therapy to help children express their emotions in creative ways, making therapy engaging and approachable. With teens and young adults, she blends empathy and gentle guidance, helping them navigate transitions and mental health concerns with confidence. Abigail believes that therapy is a collaborative journey, where both therapist and client grow together to reach the client’s goals.
In addition to her work with youth, Abigail is also open to working with adults, offering support in navigating life transitions and mental health challenges.
